The marshfront cottage was built by Henry Ford around 1930 and is located on the <a href="http://www.fordplantation.com/" target="_blank">Ford Plantation</a> (which is now a private sporting club) near Savannah, Georgia. The old building was supposed to be torn down, but new owners loved the history <i>and</i> the charming bones so much that they enlisted Jim Strickland of the architectural firm <a href="http://www.historicalconcepts.com/" target="_blank">Historical Concepts</a> to save the home! Wouldn't you love to live here?? The beautiful view, all those live oak trees, and a delightful interior oozing with character and history?! I'm a die-hard fan of her work, so it was a must-see while I was in the area. I can't wait to share with you some photos!
