This home, in word word, is breathtaking. You'd think we were somewhere in France, but no folks, this is the Midway, Utah home of Desireé Ashworth, designer extraordinaire and blogger at Décor de Provence. What slays me is that she has only lived here for 6 months! Long-time readers may remember Desireé's previous home, I featured it a few years ago and it's incredible as well. Like her last home, this one was also inspired by French, Gustavian and Belgian design with a cozy color palette infused with blues and greens. However the new home was built in a small quaint town that encompasses everything country, so Desireé decided it would be appropriate to make this one more of a rustic French country home. She mixed old reclaimed beams and wood with re-wired old lanterns from France and England for a look that is absolutely stunning! Such unique furnishings too. It was no surprise to learn that the majority of her pieces are vintage (from Brambles and Blossoms in Provo, UT) while the the Oly Studio dining room chairs and bed are new from Alice Lane. And lets discuss the kitchen quick...that just went to the top of my favorites list! The dreamy tile (Ann Sacks), open shelving, counters, lighting...love it all!
Head over to Décor de Provence to see more of the home photographed by Eliesa Findeis with be photography!, but definitely add her blog to your reading list because Desireé is constantly finding amazing, inspirational eye candy to share! And if you haven't seen my post about her last home, definitely check that out here!
