From the flooring, to the tiles to the artwork, the room is a medley of happy colors! While I always love an all-white kitchen, the personality expressed here cannot be beat! The blue retro-inspired appliances really steal the show for me (love me some <a href="http://bigchill.com/" target="_blank">Big Chill</a>!)...they're definitely a a modern upgrade yet look right at home in the older home. It seemed a little bit familiar...turns out I featured it <a href="http://www.houseofturquoise.com/2014/11/avenue-b-development.html" target="_blank">last year</a>! I hardly recognized it all dolled up by stylist <a href="http://www.katesjordan.com/" target="_blank">Kate Jordan</a> with beautiful photography by <a href="http://www.kimcornelison.com/" target="_blank">Kim Cornelison</a>! The home was built in 1927, but after a gut reno by the talented contractor+designer duo, it feels fresh and current. I love that they painstakingly preserved the charm of the older home. The hallway wall might be my favorite element! Katie nailed leftover pine flooring on the wall to get the look. The serene bedroom is pretty amazing too...love the wall color (<a href="http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/tranquility" target="_blank">Benjamin Moore Tranquility</a>) and <a href="http://rstyle.me/n/3tq9xssxw" target="_blank">Anthro quilt</a>! It's going to be a big family affair (cousins for Wesley to play with!) AND we're staying at a home recently renovated by none other than <a href="http://janecoslick.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jane Coslick</a>, so you know it's going to be fabulous! I mean, just look at this house above...isn't it the cutest thing ever?! <a href="http://www.tybeecottages.com/Unit/Details/70167" target="_blank">Coral Cottage</a> is another one of Jane's transformations, photographed by <a href="http://kimcornelisonphotography.com/" target="_blank">Kim Cornelison</a> and styled by <a href="http://elizabethrbeeler.com/index2.php#/home/" target="_blank">Elizabeth Beeler</a> for a feature in <a href="http://www.hgtv.com/decorating-basics/from-gross-to-great-an-island-home-makeover/pictures/index.html" target="_blank">HGTV magazine</a>! Don't you love the 1950s Westinghouse electric range?! It was original to the house–they just had an auto detailer spray paint it blue!
