There is just so much beauty to relish in the <a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/design_decorating/showhouses/hampton-2010-designer-showhouse_ss1.html" target="_blank">2010 Hampton Designer Showhouse</a> master bathroom designed by <a href="http://www.susannekelleydesigns.com/" target="_blank">Susanne Kelley</a> for <a href="http://www.bakesandcompany.com/" target="_blank">Bakes and Company</a>. With a color palette reflecting the sky and ocean outside, the space is full-on glamorous and absolutely serene! I love all the shimmering tile, especially the mosaic floor under the fabulous soaking tub. The freestanding cabinetry is really quite something too! So I was really happy to see them do an entire feature with lovely photographs taken by <a href="http://www.donnagriffith.com/" target="_blank">Donna Griffith</a>. Don't you love how comfy and cozy his house is? I adore his attainable style, and how he and his wife Sarah incorporated a ton of DIY ideas and penny-pinched their way through decorating their new Oshawa, Ontario home. I especially love their cute kitchen with the hexagonal floor tiles and cabinetry painted Martha Stewart Living <span style="font-style: italic;">Salt Glaze</span> (MSL141). That's the fabulous room designed by the two talented bloggers <a href="http://www.remodelaholic.com/" target="_blank">Cassity of Remodelaholic</a> and <a href="http://thediyshowoff.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Roeshel of DIY Showoff</a>. They recently worked as a team to design this entire room around the flooring (both wood and rug) for an <a href="http://www.shawfloors.com/HGTVMicrosite/home/CarpetLandingHome.aspx" target="_blank">HGTV HOME Flooring by Shaw</a> event. And what a fun event it must have been! Their vision began with the beautiful <a href="http://www.shawfloors.com/hgtvarea-rugDetails/HGTV/Ikat_Panel_3VC39-Multi" target="_blank">Ikat Panel rug by Shaw</a>. They pulled out pops of blue and red from the rug and kept everything else as neutral as they could. They added texture through the furnishings, incorporated typography in several places and finally found objects like the rusted wrought iron fence and carved wooden horse to round out the space and make it feel like it grew over time. It really looks that way too...you'd never know it was all put together in just 8 hours! I adore the beautiful wall color they chose (<a href="http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yourself/paint_colors/ideas/color/SW0068/"><span style="font-style: italic;">Copen Blue</span> by </a><a href="http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yourself/paint_colors/ideas/color/SW0068/" target="_blank">Sherwin Williams</a>) and the red painted chandelier (<span style="font-style: italic;">Antique Red</span> by Sherwin Williams). Both <a href="http://www.remodelaholic.com/2011/07/casual-beach-themed-living-room-design.html" target="_blank">Cassity</a> and <a href="http://thediyshowoff.blogspot.com/2011/07/shaw-floors-hgtv-home-design-challenge.html" target="_blank">Roeshel</a> had great write-ups about their experience, with loads of photos and fun stories, so check out their blogs for lots more!
