I've seen pieces from her fabulous collection before (the <span style="font-style: italic;">most glorious</span> <a href="http://www.shinebysho.com/catalog/13-lola-sofa" target="_blank">turquoise sofa</a> comes to mind immediately), so it was really fun to see her home featured over on <a href="http://delightbydesign.blogspot.com/2011/04/eye-candy-playful-restraint.html" target="_blank">Delight by Design</a>. Its perfectly neutral palette acts as a canvas on which the designer can explore and grow. Susan actually uses her home as her laboratory...for how her designs look, and with four kids, how functional they are and how well they wear. Thanks to <a href="http://www.cococozy.com/2011/04/see-this-house-bemused-by-beach-cottage.html" target="_blank">COCOCOZY</a>, I was reminded of designer Lauren Muse of <a href="http://www.museinteriors.net/" target="_blank">Muse Interiors</a> out of Greenwich, CT. Many of you may already know that she was the design talent behind <a href="http://thezhush.blogspot.com/search/label/Lauren%20Muse">The Zhush's home</a>, which was recently featured in <a href="http://www.cottages-gardens.com/Cottages-Gardens/March-2011/Room-To-Grow/" target="_blank">Connecticut Cottages and Gardens</a>. (Several of the above photos are from that spread, photographed so beautifully by <a href="http://www.besslerphoto.com/john/" target="_blank">John Bessler</a>.) I am officially <span style="font-style: italic;">obsessed</span> here. I wish I could have posted every single photo from Lauren's portfolio, they are all this incredible. The perfect amount of pattern, color, texture...all expertly woven together to make some of the freshest, most serene spaces I've come across. And to top it off, I hear she's as sweet as she is talented! No, no, and no. Correct answer?? Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. Ha! I don't listen to his music, but I do admit to having watched their reality show on occasion. Gone is the "Contemporary Goth" that filled their old home. Their new home designed by <a href="http://www.martynlawrencebullard.com/" target="_blank">Martyn Lawrence-Bullard</a> and photographed here by <a href="http://www.rogerdaviesphotography.com/" target="_blank">Roger Davies</a> surprised me with its refined yet comfortable country-house feel. I especially love that first image of the dining room...it's breathtaking. And how gorgeous are those sliding Victorian-era barn doors?
