Well I was surprised to learn on <a href="http://verdigrisvie.blogspot.com/2011/04/beach-blues.html">Verdigris Vie</a> that it was designed entirely by the homeowner, <a href="http://elizabethelsey.com/elizabethelsey/Welcome.html" target="_blank">Elizabeth Elsey</a>, a nurse for over 20 years. Not surprisingly, however, is that she is inspired by all the colors of the beach...especially all spectrums of blue, from the water to the sky. Soul sister all the way! I'm just loving the gorgeous dining room. (Walls: Farrow & Ball <span style="font-style: italic;">Oval Room Blue</span> over Farrow & Ball <span style="font-style: italic;">Light Blue</span> in custom strié finish. Trim: Benjamin Moore <span style="font-style: italic;">Bavarian Cream</span>.) And the custom hand-painted screen by <a href="http://www.rlgoins.com/" target="_blank">Raymond Goins</a> is stuff my dreams are made of!! I certainly wouldn't mind spending my next vacation in Turks & Caicos at this luxury villa named <a href="http://www.amazinggracetc.com/" target="_blank">Amazing Grace</a>. The 9,000 square foot private escape is set on 600 secluded feet of white sand beachfront. 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms...I'm thinking a mini turquoise-lovers convention. If anyone could truly appreciate those beautiful shutters, it's us! Not to mention the tastefully decorated interiors, the crystal clear pool and the lovely terrace looking over the sparkling turquoise ocean. Linda's post might have been all about shadow box molding, but it was the gorgeous wallcovering that really grabbed my attention. Ok really, to be honest, it was the adorable pup. Look at him just staring up at us....can you handle it?!<br /><br />Well I can't. And Chris can't either. Because this weekend we happened to bring home our very own new little bulldog!! We've been thinking of names for a week, and yesterday after having her around for 24 hours it just hit us. She's Gertie (y'know, short for Gertrude). And she is just the <span style="font-style: italic;">sweetest</span> little lady. I've never had a puppy before, so this is all very exciting! Many of you may already know that she was the design talent behind <a href="http://thezhush.blogspot.com/search/label/Lauren%20Muse">The Zhush's home</a>, which was recently featured in <a href="http://www.cottages-gardens.com/Cottages-Gardens/March-2011/Room-To-Grow/" target="_blank">Connecticut Cottages and Gardens</a>. (Several of the above photos are from that spread, photographed so beautifully by <a href="http://www.besslerphoto.com/john/" target="_blank">John Bessler</a>.) I am officially <span style="font-style: italic;">obsessed</span> here. I wish I could have posted every single photo from Lauren's portfolio, they are all this incredible.
