Perfect timing, since we had a big snow storm here in Minneapolis yesterday! It just so happens that <a href="http://desiretoinspire.blogspot.com/">Desire to Inspire</a> leads me to many of these designers (they are so amazing over there!), like they recently did with <a href="http://www.morganharrisonhome.com/">Michelle Morgan Harrison</a>. All of her rooms are just as tranquil as these, but I favor the blues! And ooh, with the orange. Love it with the orange.

I love the way the designer <a href="http://www.willeydesign.com/" target="_blank">John Willey</a> described how it manages to feel so peaceful:<br /><blockquote>Don't take this the wrong way, but that room reminds me of 1960s Howard Johnson's colors — that wonderfully intense orange and aqua — but modernized a bit. It's such a terrific vintage palette and I have to admit, I love orange. The reason this pretty Florida-orange orange is calming is that it's printed on a natural beige ground instead of white. It tones down the intensity, makes it less bright, less Marimekko, more bedroomy.</blockquote>

I especially love these 2 bedrooms. And how cool are the maps in the first image, and those turquoise chairs! So cute. And the last two, I LOVE the painted bookshelves.
