A Serious Case of Closet Envy

I'm sure many of you already saw this AMAZING closet that Joni over at Cote de Texas posted from a house for sale in Illinois. But I can't help but share it. Rather, I can't help but keep it for myself because this is seriously my dream come true. I hear angels singing I think. Too bad I cannot afford this closet, nevertheless the home! (Which is simply grand too...check it out here.)

Anywhoo, I am leaving tonight for a 10 day excursion to Colorado. I should have some time here and there to post, but if I don't, I'm probably up in the mountains! :)

Easy Living

How fun is this porch styled by Nan Whitney for an ad for Sunbrella? It is such a fantastic porch in and of itself, but add the pretty white wicker furniture and all the fantastic fabrics that just pop out at you, and you have yourself something totally special! Oh how I love turquoise and lime green. Seriously.

Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes

What a laid back, chilled kitchen featured in Coastal Living. I love the diamond pattern of aqua green and cream on the wood floors. So pretty! I also really liked what the owner and home furnishings designer Valerie Moran had to say about her peaceful vacation home: "It's a totally different energy from our city home. You walk into that apartment and the colors seize you. The feeling matches our lifestyle there--all go, go, go. Here in Bay Head, we lie around."

Dining in Duck Egg Blue

Peaceful

A couple weeks ago Decorology posted this beautiful home from Country Living. Although I don't think I could ever live in such a no-frills, rustic environment, I'd love to be able escape here...I imagine surrounded by stillness and flowers and little creatures. Fixed Point Residence

Getting us inspired for Thanksgiving, This is Glamorous and This is Love Forever recently posted amazing images from Gourmet Magazine. I can't stop looking at all the details! It is such an intense shade of blue, but I love how everything just goes together so perfectly. I adore that flocked wallpaper too. Bring on the turkey!

Michael Robinson

These gorgeous rooms were captured so perfectly by talented photographer Michael Robinson. I especially love the top photo of the turquoise dining room. The shelf detailing is just so lovely. Just as lovely as the vibrant blue chairs in the image below!

Impressive Master Retreat

My teeny tiny totally uncool bathroom is my refuge now...I can't fathom having a bathroom like this to escape to! These rooms are so warm and cozy, yet peaceful and calm. The perfect retreat. I love how the bed perfectly matches the paint on the bathroom walls. -RateMySpace

I love these images from the BBC Good Homes Feature taken by UK photographer Lucinda Symons. Red and turquoise is always my favorite, and it looks especially lovely against the clean white background.

An All-Time Favorite

This isn't the first time I've posted this room, but its easily one of my all-time favorites. Additionally, I just found the picture of the other side of the room so I thought I'd share. This room was designed by Sally Henderson especially for a teenage girl. I love absolutely everything about it...the color scheme, the comfy sitting area, the built-ins, the pretty area rug, the Lucite furniture, and the enormous ceiling. But my favorite thing about the entire room is the dramatic turquoise headboard! For more on this home, including lots more pictures, head over to House Beautiful!

Turquoise Stairs
